Mid-May

Life marches on. We turned the kids bed back to bunks today. When they're separate, it's fine, but there's just a lot more floor space to play when there's bunks.

We also went to the library to get some new books. I am really proud of the fact that my children enjoy reading. There's just so much that you can experience through books, and you can have so many adventures... Reading is probably my favorite past time.

Meanwhile, I need a workout buddy. I'm just not as motivated as I should be. I've even been thinking that we should get a dog, because then I would have to go outside and walk it every day. Plus, we would have a dog.

It also happens to be ridiculously early in the morning (or very late at night, depending) and Daniel is keeping me company on the couch. Sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night to snuggle, and if I'm not in my bed, he comes and finds me, and then lays next to me. He's a very sweet and cuddly sort of person.

We've also moved into the time of the year when we get to check ourselves for ticks and other creepy crawly creatures. I personally have had two ticks so far. And I? Don't venture much outside our front yard. I think one flew up on me when I was mowing the lawn. The only thing I know is that ticks are disgusting, and they are never a pleasant surprise.
