Purge

  • The past three days I’ve gotten little to no sleep, and today I am feeling it. HARD.
  • Autumn = cooler weather = pressure changes = ear infections (for us) This is a small part of the reason I haven’t been able to get any sleep. Because laying flat when your ears hurts doesn’t exactly work.
  • One of the girls drew on the wall… with lipstick. When I asked Taylor, she said Blayne did it. When I asked Blayne, she said Taylor did it. They’re only 3 and 5 and I can’t tell who’s lying. So I’m punishing them both. Because I believe in fairness.
  • I am ready for Halloween to be over. Mostly because I pick up costumes over. and over. and over again. Then I wash the same costumes over. and over. and over again. Because sometimes I can’t tell if the sticky stuff is candy, or some thing that came out of our nose.
  • I have 4 projects due this week. I was going to work on one of them more tonight, but instead, I’m going to do NOTHING.
  • I think there’s a lot to be said for doing NOTHING every now and then.
  • Today has been gray and rainy. Weather like this always reminds me of Winnie the Pooh because he always had gloomy, blustery kinds of days. If I had to pick a word to describe autumn it would be blustery.
  • Don’t you like it when I just post whatever thoughts pop into my head? Me too.
  • It’s 55 minutes past bedtime, but I’m not on the same floor as anyone else, so I don’t care. I’ll probably regret it in the morning, but that’s not enough motive for me to do anything about it. Besides, they usually go to bed at 7pm. Staying up until 8 won’t kill ‘em.
  • I put my kids to bed earlier than anyone else I know. Know what else? Their kids wake up about the same time as mine. WHO’S THE SUCKER NOW?
  • There is a missionary serving in my ward that I really like. I would really especially like him to marry date my sister. Too bad she lives in AZ, and he’s going home to Idaho. I have three weeks to come up with a plan.
  • I have a new stroller. Joovy sent it to me. It’s the new double Cocoon. It is nicer than my car. And I can push it with one hand when I have both of my kids in strapped in. Do you understand what I am telling you? My children, combined, weigh over 75 pounds. And the stroller is probably another 35. And I can push and steer it WITH ONE HAND. AND it’s quiet and rides really smooth. Oh, and did I mention the part about it converts into a bike trailer? Because it does. And it is AWESOME. And I can go on and on, which I shall do later. When I have had more than 3 hours of sleep in 3 days. Except that I should tell you that you can win one. Right here. Enter. Now. The end.
  • P.S. please don’t call me tonight.
