Monday Workout

Well well well!

After last week, when I was going to complain about how HORRIBLE and AWFUL things were going in the weight loss department, but couldn't because of that whole "lost internet" thing, I was SURE that today was going to also be HORRIBLE and AWFUL in the measurement department. Turns out, it WASN'T.

In fact, last week I had only lost a half inch for the week. Suckfest major. But THIS week, I lost a total of 4.5 inches. SO, that's a testament to myself that sometimes I just have to suck it up and keep working anyways. Results come little by little. It's not often that I'll see a good drop like that.

As far as weight goes, I haven't been losing TONS, but I'm losing steadily. I only average about a 1/2 pound loss per week right now, which is to say, I've only lost 6 pounds over the last 12 weeks. But as far as total INCHES go, I've lost 9.75. (Which AGAIN, 4.5 of those were this last week alone. WEIGHT LOSS=UBER FRUSTRATING)

In other news, we're going to kick off a new addition to the Monday Workout. We're going to call it, The Biggest Loser Throwdown.

SO, if you want to participate, I need you to go get a measuring tape. Go ahead and grab it, I'll wait.....

Got it? Awesome. NOW, I want you to measure a few things.

  • BUST. measure across the fullest part of your chest.
  • WAIST. your NATURAL waist please. And you're allowed to suck it in. Dr. Oz even says so.
  • HIPS. The fullest part of your hips please. and make sure your heels are together.
  • BICEP. again, we're going with the fullest part. not the top of your arm, your bicep.
  • CALF. fullest part. (I know, I know, I'm like a broken record.)

Okay, got your measurements? Now, add them all together to get your TOTAL BODY MEASUREMENTS.

I know that today is Monday, so technically, we're not going to get a full week in. Why? Because weigh in is going to be Sunday. You need to get me your weight and your total body measurements by Sunday evening so I can get the results posted on time on Monday mornings.

So, Sunday, weigh and measure yourself, then email me.

Again, this won't be a full week, because I want you to take your measurements RIGHT NOW, and then I want you to take them again on SUNDAY.

Next Monday, I'll have the complete list of participants and the results from week one.

If you have any other questions, please, leave a comment. I'll answer back to you on the comment form so that everyone can see the rules, and so that I don't have to privately email 87 different people. (not that there's 87 of you... YET.)

THIS IS A COMMITMENT. Anyone is welcome to join, but if you miss 2 or more weeks, you'll be dropped from this round. Rounds will go for an 8 week period, and there will be a prize for the winner at the end of competition.

For this competition, we are going to be using the honor system. I know that I don't necessarily want to post my actual weight for all the world to see, so we'll post the total amount lost that week, and the total inches lost that week only. At the end of the competition, we'll look back at our results from TODAY and compare them. Whoever has the best results from now to then will be declared winner.
