Fun Fact Friday! Travel Edition!

*Taylor is not a good traveller. I blame this on her age (22 months) and her need for naps.

*Also to blame is jet lag/time change/unknown surroundings.

*She was so little when we moved that she basically doesn't remember anyone.

*I hate flying.

*Airplanes smell funny.

*The Atlanta airport has the worst set-up I've ever seen in my life. Talk about stupid terminals.

*Arizona has awesome roads. Like, seriously. Best. Freeways. Ever.

*I'm exhausted.

*And annoyed. I'm going to say this one time and one time only. Just because I'm not "emotional" doesn't mean I don't "feel" the loss of my grandpa any less than you. All it means is I'm not a CRYBABY.

*That last statement is going to cause quite a stir.

*DESPITE it's truthfulness.

*Sorry mom.

*I think I have food poisoning.

*I'm blaming the sandwich meat.

*I hate throwing up. Especially when I get that little chunk stuck at the back of my throat. You know, the one that you can't cough up or sneeze out, but you can feel/taste it there? Yeah. Hate that.

*Only taking care of one kid is stinking easy... NOW. Why wasn't it this easy when I only had one in the first place? Oh, that's right. YEARS AND YEARS OF PRACTICE.

*I was going to try and visit some friends. Now I pretty much think, meh.

*I am poisoned, you know.

*My mom took me shopping.

*I got some pretty cute stuff.

*That wasn't today. Today I layed on the couch and tried to not die.

*I think it's working.

*I do not know how to end this edition of fun fact friday.

*I think I'll just fade into the background.

*(If that's alright with you.)

* okay, I'm out.

  1. Sorry you aren't feeling good! Hope you will be better soon. :( not fun for vacation!

Interesting fun facts- at least some good things (your new clothes!)

this is long- but since I rarely comment on your great blog, maybe this will make up for it (or not).

Don't worry on the emotion, I know what you are saying. One time I cried all night due to the loss of one of our male patients at a place where I used to work. The next day his mom came in, I felt bad i was the only one not crying when she arrived to see the staff. But we had our patients to care for/get out of their wheelchairs, etc. I had cried the night before- and would cry almost daily for the next 3 weeks.

I hear you on the Atlanta airport. One time, due to a cancelled flight (that wasn't cancelled til very late at night), I (tried) to sleep overnight in that airport..in a huge room w/a huge dinosaur skeleton and 20 some other travelers, as well as people that buffed the floors all night long w/very noisy buffing machines.

    Feel better!

  2. Atlanta airport blows.

    Throwing up blows.

Getting throw up stuck in your throat REALLY blows.

    Hope you feel better soon.

  3. I hate flying too!

And I completely understand your statement about your grandfather.

  4. I hate throwing up because I ALWAYS get the chunk. I'll gag for an hour, practically eat a whole meal and the dumb chunk is still there making me wish that I could reach back there and take it out. I thought I was the only one who had a special nest in her throat for chunks.

Sorry you are sick - I think you came back to AZ right as another round of sickness is going around. Dizziness and throwing up/bathroom visits - that's the word on the street.

  5. Hope you are feeling better soon.

  6. Yeurgh.

I'm not the outwardly emotional type myself. Except over really schmultzy tv commercials - what is with that?

So frustrating having to deal with narrowmindedness AND being poisoned, eh? Craziness.

  7. Oh, I am sorry you got sick.

That is so true...when I only had one it was so hard...I guess you are right...years of practice. I love how you always help me see things I should have already figured out.

  8. The Atlanta airport was built to watch people slowly lose their mind with how silly they set it up..

I hope your feeling better too.. ugh..

  9. It was good to see ya while you were here-And Taylor too! Thanks for taking the time to drive out! Preston says he has a new favorite cousin...
Now I am dying to see how big all of the other kids are!
