Dear Tuesday: it's tell-all time!

Guys: Do you even LIKE our Tuesday Tell-All link thing-a-ma-jig? Because by the looks of it, YOU DON'T. Do you know how that makes us feel on the inside? Answer: Dead. We are DIED on the insides.

GUYS: I have been working on getting step-by-step how-to’s put together for the printables. Except that sometimes I forget to take a photo of an important step, so I have to UNdo whatever I just did, and REdo it, and THE THINGS I DO FOR THIS BLOG. At any rate, coming soon: picture tutorials on how to make fry boxes, pillow boxes, and more, more, more!

Other than that, we are up to a fat lot of nothing around these parts! Last week, my 8 year old was gone every day for Cub Scout camp, and that was our only plan for the WHOLE SUMMER. So I did what any reasonable person would do, and I consulted my blog archive for summer fun ideas, and now my kids are indoor camping! I’m looking forward to a very low-key summer, how about you?

TTA + Rainy Day Activities

This week is our OFFICIAL first week of summer in Virginia... and of COURSE it rained the very first day of vacation! Naturally, I turned to the internet to find fun ways to entertain us.

Summer means lots of reading, which means we need bookmarks. Melissa's monster bookmark tutorial is GREAT for the kids, and doesn't require too many supplies. (paper, glue, and scissors... that's it!) 

And I have extra paper plates (are you sensing a theme here? It's called, what do I have and how can I make it work!) so these paper plate dinosaur friends were definitely going on the to-do list! 

Which OF COURSE made me look at MORE genius paper plate crafts, which led me to this fantastic paper plate shark craft from Almost Unschoolers.

This week is CRAZY with kindergarten graduation and last week of school madness, and I am trying very hard to get people to bed at reasonable hours, but YOU GUYS! I JUST CAN'T! I'm pretending that summer is officially here, because the last week of school is parties and stuff anyways, right? (I AM sure that I have not explained that right though...)

Here at Peonies&Poppyseeds, we've been gearing up for Father's Day, and we have found SO many fun ideas to share!

Tuesday Tell All + Stuff We Love!

We are going to start a new tradition here at Peonies & Poppyseeds, and THAT, my dears, is the Tuesday Tell-All.

So what did we love this last week?

For starters, the Summer 2012 issue of the Casual Blogger Magazine is out. It's gorgeous, as usual. And pretty helpful too. Of course, since it's our magazine, we're pretty biased, but also, since you read our blog, you're ALSO biased. TIS HOW IT WORKS.

We also loved this Hair Chalking tutorial from Kandee Johnson. (And I would highly recommend hair chalking your hair, and your kids.... it's summer! Why not!)
