Moving On Up

I don't know if you've heard, but the Bingham's are moving to Utah. More specifically, Salt Lake City or there-abouts, Utah.

Troy got a pretty good job offer from UTA, the Utah Transit Authority.  So he accepted, and now Daniel and I are here in Utah, living with my friend Elisa... you know, my blog BFF turned real life BFF. At any rate, Daniel and I have been living here with her and her kids for about two weeks. We came out to find housing, and a-housing we did find!

GUYS.

I bought a house... a fabulous house that is approximately one million times better than our Los Alamos digs. For starters, it's a single family home. That's right, no shared wall. Woot-woot! And the yard is about a third of an acre, already landscaped, with a garden area. Of course, the garden area will have to be enlarged, but for now, it's just fine. Also, NO STAIRS. Okay, well, a few stairs. BUT! Only 5. Five big steps with an almost gentle incline, and plenty of room to add in a ramp for my eventual wheelchair. (Because yes, I think of things like that, because that is the reality of my life.)

The house also features ONE FLOOR LIVING. Oh yes, you read that right. One. Floor. Living. The kitchen, laundry, living area, my bedroom, and parking are all on the SAME LEVEL. And there's a basement. And THREE full bathrooms, which means THREE showers, and THREE toilets, and  SANITY SAVED. I am very exctied about the restroom situation. There is also a basement, with lots of storage and a cute little Harry Potter room under the stairs. AND! AIR CONDITIONING!

i just might die and go to heaven... which I am sure includes central air.

In other life-changing news: I had to resign from my job at the middle school. Can't work at a place that has an 11-hour commute. I've been applying for all sorts of jobs, and we'll just have to wait and see what happens next. Ideally, I would be able to get a job that I can do from home... you know, after training and what not. However, since I'm no longer in a teensy little bubble, I have quite a few employment opportunities. It's exciting.

And THAT, my friends, is the current situation my life is in.
