I know it’s not the weekend, but since it’s spring break, and we’re on vacation, my life has become a perpetual Saturday.
Since I’ve been busy with the wedding, DadGuy has been watching the kids a lot. And by a lot, I mean, A LOT. And then he started to say something slightly whiny about having all four kids at home all day long and I said, “Uh… SUMMER?” and then he was all “I know. I’m so sorry. I don’t know how you do it.” and I was all “VALIDATION!”
The wedding is tomorrow. And by tomorrow, I mean today, because it’s really, really late, or really, really early, depending on how you look at things.
We’ve done about 4 trial runs of Meredith’s hair. I would link to Meredith’s blog, BUT SHE NEVER UPDATES IT.
I hate when people don’t update their blogs. Myself included. Obviously, this means that I live with a tremendous amount of guilt, because I always feel pressured to PERFORM or some crap like that. Plus, I always tell my clients that “Content is King!” and “You need to update more often!” and “What do you mean you didn’t proofread? DOES NOT COMPUTE!” and then I hang up the phone/shut down the email and say to myself “pot meet kettle.”
I am having an amazingly good hair day. Which means that tomorrow when there are eleventy billion photos being taken from eighty seven different angles, I will probably have a bad day. You know why? BECAUSE THAT’S HOW LIFE GOES. Luckily, most people will be looking at Meredith… the lousy blogging sister.
My ankle hurts.
Yeah, I just wrote that.
My kids are really stinking cute too. They have been troopers with the whole, “TODAY WE’RE MAKING FLOWERS AND YOU CAN’T TOUCH ANYTHING!” and the “WE HAVE TO MAKE SURE THIS SHIRT FITS. TRY IT ON. OKAY NOW TRY THIS ONE ON. NOW THIS ONE AGAIN. HMMM…. MAYBE PUT THE OTHER ONE BACK ON?” thing.
I know I should be upset about Taylor cutting her hair off, but it actually makes my life incredibly easy. Her hair is literally done in less than three minutes, and that INCLUDES the blow dry. It is like heaven on a scalp.
I have been singing a song to myself for the last week, and it’s one of my favorite songs ever. Therefore, I’m going to write down the words for you, so you can enjoy the awesomeness.
How can I miss you if you won’t go away,
Far, far away from me?
How can I grieve, if you won’t leave?
And how can I shed a tear, if you’re still here?
Absence makes the heart grow fonder, so they say.
Let’s see if that old saying still holds, true today.
I’ll sadly sigh, as we kiss good bye,
I’ll miss you more than words can say,
BUT! How can I miss you if you won’t go away!
And that’s pretty much it for now. Next time, we will have wedding pictures to show off and you will finally get to see Meredith’s, the non-blogger, cute wedding dress.
Do you think she'll start blogging regularly if I continue to shame her publicly like this? I should do it to my other sisters to. CONSIDER YOURSELVES WARNED LADIES.
