May 1: The beginning of the end

I can't believe it's already May 1.

Do you know how busy I am this month? WELL DO YOU?

Two of my shortlings have birthdays.

My mom has a birthday.

It's Mother's Day.

Thaddeus has a field trip.

As do my preschoolers.

I have 2 blogging events before the "BIG ONE". (and yes, we have, like, 10 tickets still available so.. you know. GET ONE.)

Luckily, one of the events is entirely out of my hands, and I just have to show up and look cute.

But guys, in TWENTY FIVE DAYS, I get on an airplane and fly to Utah for my conference. I can't even begin to explain all the emotions that I'm feeling about this. Excited, thrilled, nervous, exhilarated... It's crazy to think that it's finally here. And now I'm settling into that eerie calm. The only thing I can compare it to is having a baby. You hope and dream and plan, but those few weeks before D-day, you're going a hundred miles a minute in slow motion. THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IT'S LIKE.

And on that oh-so-exciting note, I end. Because I have stuff to do.
