My life. It is exciting.

I honest to goodness have nothing to talk about.

No really, my brain is on overload, and all I can think about is *Monday* when my children go back to school and I can finally get my house back in order.

It's cold and windy and they are refusing to go outside which has turned into a severe case of Whiny Pants Syndrome.

Symptoms include: Whining. Tantrums. Hair Pulling. Biting. Screaming. Extreme Mood Swings. Stubbornness. Sassing. Obstinance. Flailing body parts. Bursts of strength. Door slamming. Name calling. Tattling, followed by more tattling...

{note: this is not a complete list}

So thank goodness that school is back in session Monday morning, because I have thrown in the towel.

I haven't made people get dressed, or eat lunch, or pick up their toys... Nope, I've been sitting on the stair landing, re-reading Harry Potter. (I'm halfway through number five now, thankyouverymuch. I'm also realizing that I have a crush on Ron Weasley, despite the fact that (a) he's fictional and (b) a teenager.)

My breaking point came a few days ago when in a fit of fury, food was flung over the stair railing to the ground below. Of course, it hit the side of the wall on its way down.... The wall with the flat white paint that shows every little ding.

I cleaned up the mess as much as I could, but could not reach this one stupid, trailing chunk.

I was too short to reach from the ground. I tried standing on a chair, but that didn't help. I couldn't reach from the floor above either.

For the last few days, I have been staring at a dried up chunk of something on my wall. Oh yes, I don't even know what it is, exactly. Because I gave up on cooking and we have been eating leftovers and cheese crisps for the last week.

I am in countdown mode because in less than 48 hours, I will be able to catch up on my laundry, un-stick the floor, de-chunk the wall, and maybe get a nap.

My life. It is exciting.
