And then I wanted to die.

We finally got a house. It's not exactly the home of my dreams, but it's newer (built in '02), it fits all of us, and we will be moving in about 2 months.

To prepare for the move, we went in search of boxes today. Now, LAST time I moved, I drove around town, going behind all the different merchandise stores, checking the dumpsters for boxes. I had boxes coming out my ears.

Today? I drove behind every. danged. store. in the area to no avail. They all have the compression unit thingamajigs, so they don't even have to go outside to take out the trash. Lowes, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, the mall, there was not a single cardboard box in the area.

Two hours later, I broke down and purchased a few boxes from a storage place. A very few. Do you know how much they charge for a BOX? A plain jane, ordinary cardboard box? Three dollars and change... a piece....

Do you know how many boxes this family of 6 plus one Aunt Meredith are going to require to move?

I'm thoroughly disgusted.
